LAB/Digital X-Ray

SERVICES

Our sophisticated Digital Radiography unit replaces standard X-ray units, delivering a lower radiation dose whilst simultaneously providing superior imaging quality.

This technology helps patients, no longer have to wait for a normal X-ray film to be developed. Instead, the information obtained from the scan is directly converted to digital data and instantly appears on computerized images where it is then electronically sent to our radiologist’s computer for reporting. For patients who are referred from medical clinics that receive reports and images computerized, the time spent at our clinic is further reduced. These patients may then leave as soon as the image is taken by our technical staff, without having to wait for any image or results.

When is a digital X-ray used?

Digital X-rays are used to diagnose a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including musculoskeletal injuries like bones, chest, muscles attached to joints, cancer, abdominal pain, sinus disease, spinal problems, and other abnormalities.

What happens during a digital X-ray procedure?

You may be asked to stand or lie down on an examination table, depending on the part of the body to be examined. You will be able to communicate with the technician during the procedure.

Why Saint Imaging?

We use the most advanced technology to deliver premium healthcare. Digital scanning images gives us many advantages in handling your exam, not the least of which is faster communication of results to your doctor. Digital imaging also allows your medical team to collaborate, if necessary, and to immediately compare previous exams with current ones, so that your health is properly monitored.

A digital X-ray examination, a veteran in the realm of non-invasive medical imagery, boasts a legacy spanning generations. This emissary of diagnosis stands at the ready, tasked with unearthing, deciphering, and vigilantly surveilling an array of medical enigmas in a manner that's as distinct as a fingerprint.

In the intricate landscape of diagnostic imaging, where the terrain can be as challenging as a labyrinth, digital X-rays emerge as the master cartographer, sketching out a swift, visual chronicle of the corporeal realm. In an instant, it unveils the secrets concealed within bones, deciphers the enigmatic tales told by the chest, captures the nuances of teeth, and explores the hidden recesses of the abdomen.

Its method, though, is a symphony of radiation – beams of radioactive energy that traverse the body's canvas. In this ballet of anatomy, the body's components assume the roles of performers, selectively absorbing and refracting the radiation, transmogrifying it into a visual sonnet.

Within this symphony, the composition is as diverse as a painter's palette. The more formidable the body part, the more vehemently it resists the radiation's passage, culminating in a crescendo of clarity. Hence, the blocked radiation weaves a tapestry of contrast upon the X-ray's canvas, portraying the body's elements in a harmonious spectrum of shades:

  • White: Bones & metal
  • Black: Air in the lungs
  • Gray: Muscle & fat
